Talk To It: How To Ask AI The Right Questions: Book 2 of the Ground Up AI Academy Series (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798253949375)

Your kid is already using AI. They're just doing it wrong.

When students type a vague question into an AI tool and get garbage back, they assume the tool is broken. It's not. The prompt is broken. And nobody is teaching them how to fix it.

Talk To It changes that.

This is the book that teaches middle schoolers the skill professionals, researchers, and writers pay serious money to learn - how to communicate with AI tools so they actually produce something useful. How to ask the right question, in the right format, with the right guardrails. How to spot when AI is making things up and sound completely confident about it. And how to use AI for school without crossing the line into academic dishonesty.

Eight chapters. Every one packed with real skills, not theory.

Students walk away knowing how to build a prompt that works on the first try. How to give AI a role that changes its output completely. How to fact-check what AI tells them before they trust it. And how to be the editor - the human judgment layer - that no AI can replace.

Every chapter includes a classroom activity, a printable worksheet, a formative exit ticket, and a 25-point quiz. The complete Teacher & Parent Guide has lesson plans, differentiation strategies for ELL and IEP students, Socratic discussion prompts, and full answer keys for everything.

Standards aligned to AI4K12, ISTE, and Common Core. Grades 5-8. No tech background required.

The child who learns to talk to AI well today has a skill that will matter for the rest of their life.

This is Book 2 of the 5-book Ground Up AI Academy Series.
