She earned an M.A. in Psychology at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Organizational Psychology, respectively, from the California School of Professional Psychology (now called Alliant International University) in Alameda, California.
