Finally, the second, revised edition of the irreverent "Tea Fried Brain". In this autobiographical novel, tea enthusiast, Frank Hadley Murphy, author of "The Spirit of Tea" meets up with his eccentric "co-padre", Michael O'Donnell, for an intimate journey into the human heart augmented by the mind altering, plant spirit medicines of Yunnan Province. The supernatural desert landscape near Abiquiu, New Mexico, shape shifts through this delightful, conversational narrative as both gentlemen, are, as in a crucible, rendered down into the central cores of their beings by the gentle graces of China tea. "Tea Fried Brain," set overlooking the Chama River, is a sobering and light hearted social commentary on our seductive relationship with this "Queen of the Camellias", THEA SINENSIS!

Frank Hadley Murphy was born in Boston, Massachusetts and comes from an old New England family. In 1993, he had an epiphany with a Pu-erh tea which he describes in his first book "The Spirit of Tea". It is the first book to address tea's mystical and transcendental nature. The first and only graduate of the original American Tea Masters Association founded in 1994 by Tea Masters Donald Wallis and Roy Fong, Mr Murphy has been a judge at Chinese and international tea competitions, contributed articles and essays to national and international books and tea publications, lectured nationally and has appeared on Chinese television and American radio talk shows. His first book "The Spirit of Tea" is now being published in China. Mr. Murphy leads a reclusive life with his wife, Carol Parker, in the mountains of north central New Mexico.
