Gary Brown Sr. was born in Gwinnett County, Ga. and was the youngest of five sibling. Gary grew up in Marietta, Ga. and attended Marietta high School. As a young adult, after many years of jogging took a toll on his knees and back, Gary sought other ways to stay fit and decided to take up tennis. Seeing how tennis also took it's toll on the body over the years, Gary decided to solicit the help of Lucinda Puddicombe, a Masters graduate and Exercise Physiologist and Strength Coach, to assist in developing a routine focused on properly training muscles utilized in tennis. Gary is currently a Certified Tennis Instructor at Sweetwater Tennis Center in Austell, GA. He has been playing tennis for over 30 years virtually injury free, a success attributed to maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle. Diagnosed as diabetic over 10 years ago, Gary realized even more the importance of staying healthy and was thus motivated to share his success in health and fitness through this book, Tennis Fit For Life.
