A fly-over view of the town does not capture how Barry has no interest in following in the footsteps of his unrelenting doctor father. Nor do you see Jeff's mom's drunken boyfriend who has taken up residence in their house. Danny has never known his mother, Beatrice, but he has purpose and is excited about a Christian awakening in southern California. King just floats through it all.

Tensile Town is an epic and honest story about life and death in small-town southern Ohio. The foundation of American life is cracking as it encounters protests, godlessness, assassinations, and attacks from within, but hope is found, and providence prevails.
