Carl George graduated with honors from the University of Texas and earned a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Twenty-eight years ministry as a teacher, pastor, church planter, Southern Baptist appointed missionary (twice), and outreach pastor have naturally resulted in both success and failure. While the successes have been rewarding, the richest blessings have come through the grace of God working through the failures. Carl's search for a biblical understanding of these failures inspired this book. Married since 1986, he and his wife Jacqueline have two sons and three foster sons.
