The ADHD Wallet: Adhd Money - A Budgeting System Built for Impulsive Spending, Time Blindness, and the ADHD Brain (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781804288610)

The simple act of checking an account balance can become a frantic archeological dig when money disappears

without a corresponding memory of its use. Part of The Uneven Mind, Rilke Underhill's insightful book

explores the specific financial anxieties triggered by ADHD and offers a path toward mindful spending.

When money flows out impulsively or vanishes into forgotten subscriptions, it ceases to be a neutral resource

and becomes evidence of neurological difference-a frustrating reminder of how the ADHD brain experiences

time, motivation, and consequence. The ADHD Wallet is not a rigid budgeting plan, a shaming lecture on

self-control, or a complex financial overhaul. Instead, it unpacks the unique cognitive challenges that drive

impulsive spending and offers a system built to work *with*-not against-the ADHD brain.

Through relatable anecdotes and practical strategies, readers will explore the hidden dynamics of ADHD and

money:

- The Forgotten Charge: Why seemingly inexplicable purchases are often rooted in a disconnect between

immediate desire and future cost, not a lack of willpower.

Armed with a deeper understanding of these neurological quirks, you'll learn to implement simple overrides -

from reframing financial goals in concrete terms to strategically leveraging dopamine for positive reinforcement

- that transform money management from a source of shame into an exercise in self-compassion. *The ADHD

Wallet* provides the tools to finally break free from the cycle of financial anxiety and build a healthier, more

sustainable relationship with your resources. Pick up *The ADHD Wallet* now and begin building a system

that works *with* your brain, not against it.
