Kendria Taylor was born into a family of nine. Her entire family although very close still experienced typical family dynamics of a large and sometimes dysfunctional family. Even with formal education in the areas of Family Studies and Family Mediation, Kendria believes that she learned how to mediate, share, and love unconditionally through being a little sister to seven siblings and a big sister to her twin sister who is four minutes younger. Throughout her life her family always owned dogs, and they were a big part of her childhood and adulthood. It was her experience with dogs in her adult life that she understood the power that animals had to help families through very tough and emotional times. Kendria is passionate about helping families navigate through social services and understanding family systems that creates healthy happy families. She has spent more than a decade of her career working with youth and families in a professional and volunteer setting. Her inspiration for Jax and Riley was simply that animals are family to and sometimes they can make life situations an easier process to go through when you have the love of a pet to help you through it.
