Transferred to the Guards Armoured Division in June 1942, the regiment landed in Normandy on 27 June 1944 and fought relentlessly across North-West Europe to the war's end. From the brutal battles of Epsom, Goodwood and Bluecoat, through the drive to Arnhem in Operation Market Garden, to the bitter fighting in the Reichswald and the crossing of the River Ems, it played a constant role in the Allied advance into Germany. This volume captures its wartime service, and is complete with rolls of officers, a Roll of Honour, and details of gallantry awards.
Originally published in Germany shortly after cessation of hostilities in 1945, and is categorised as scarce in it's original 1945 printing.
