Among these are Gary Cole, Judith Ivey, Terry Kinney, John Malkovich, Lauri Metcalf, Bill O'Leary, William Petersen, Yvonne Suhor, and many other artists with the famed Steppenwolf Theatre, which was founded by ISU students.
