Elizabeth M. Kakonkanya is a final year student of Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management at The Copperbelt University (CBU), where she has received Awards for Best Student from first year to fourth year. She is a certified Psychosocial Counsellor and an active HIV/AIDS Peer Educator. In 2016 she was awarded a certificate for Management Strategies of People and Resources and another for Strategies for Personal Growth and Development, by Young African Leaders Initiative Network (YALI Network). She is a member of Aspire3 a group of young female leaders under Alchemy Women In Leadership Zambia, founded by Chimango Chikwanda (the current Human Resource Director of Konkola Copper Mines). At the Copperbelt University she is a member of Chi-Alpha Christian Fellowship where she has served in leadership for four consecutive years, as Vice Chairperson and Librarian General respectively. In 2015 she served as the Chairperson for CBU-Christian Community Ladies. Elizabeth has a passion for young girls between the ages of 8 and 18 years. And so in 2016 she founded a campaign called 'Every Girl Can Become', which is aimed at mentoring and equipping young girls with life skills and helping them realise their full potential.
