He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's of Science. He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Faculty Member at the University of Phoenix and Western Iowa Tech. He is also an active member of the American Society for Quality, the Project Management Institute, the US Green Building Council, and the American Legion.
