The Aspiring: The Second Hero of Gylinnar (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798599850007)

While Alex's tale is far from over, there is another whose tale must be known. While this story takes place somewhere very different, with different people, a different calamity, and a different hero, it is directly intertwined with Alex, Annaliese, and both of their worlds, and begins to make clear the bigger story, and the greater villain. It is the story of a young man who gets exactly the adventure he hoped for, in a world that is not far from the ones found in the oldest fantasies. But this world is not undiscovered; it remembers the humans that visited long ago, and is not welcoming. If he is to survive, he must overcome this ancient memory, work alongside the magical inhabitants of the world, and perhaps even save it from a doom that threatens to end all life. This is the story Of Joshua Knights. ---The second book in the Heroes of Gylinnar book series, by J. W. Squires.
