Australia's Medicare System was introduced to win votes without any thought of the consequences. There is no planning for the future, nurses and doctors are reaching over-supply, waiting lists for elective surgery are getting longer every year and the cost is exploding. Dr David Corbett graduated in Medicine from Melbourne University in 1964. He subsequently trained as a specialist Anaesthetist. He has spent a year in the United States, a year in Saudi Arabia and many years in city and rural hospitals in Australia in this specialty. He has gained qualifications in accounting, finance and investment and has a diploma from the Institute of Company Directors. He has a continued interest in mathematics and physics as well as studying Electronic engineering for four years part time. He was also a Councillor on the Essendon City Council for three years.
