The Bee and Me in the garden of whimsy (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9780648818922)

In a quiet corner of the world, where the sunlight lingers a little longer and the air hums softly with life, there is a garden unlike any other. It is a place where flowers bloom in soft washes of colour, where lavender stretches tall and dreamy, and where the breeze carries the scent of warm earth and honey.

This is the garden of whimsy.

And in this garden, it is not unusual to see a small girl wandering barefoot through the grass, her white dress brushing the tops of wildflowers as she moves. She pauses often - to touch a petal, to watch a butterfly, to listen. She is not in a hurry. In this place, there is no need to be.

Close beside her, never too far, is a tiny companion.

A bee.

Not just any bee, but one that hums with quiet curiosity. It flutters gently from flower to flower, sometimes hovering mid-air as if waiting to be noticed. And when the girl looks up, their worlds meet.

The bee and me.

Together, they move through the garden - not as owner and visitor, but as friends. The girl watches as the bee gathers pollen, dusting itself in golden specks, working with a purpose she does not yet fully understand. And the bee, in its own way, seems to guide her - from blossom to blossom, from one quiet discovery to the next.

They share moments that feel small, but are not.

A pause by the pond, where the water reflects the sky like a painting.

A gentle brush of fingers through tall grass.

The soft hum of wings in the stillness of the afternoon.

And sometimes, they sit.

In a patch of sunlight, surrounded by flowers swaying gently in the breeze, the girl pours tea into tiny cups - one for her, and one just for the bee. It is a simple ritual, but in the garden of whimsy, simple things are the most important of all.

Here, time stretches and softens.

Here, the world feels kind and full and alive.

Here, a girl and a bee can be everything they need to be.

The bee and me have tea in the garden of whimsy.

And for a little while, nothing else matters.
