For over 30 years, Sheila Hansberger has created art as a professional watercolorist, and also as a commercial artist. Although writing has always been one of her guilty pleasures, her credits as an author have come from writing non-fiction magazine and newspaper articles. More recently, she's been drawn to fiction and is simultaneously working on several novels. Another of her efforts is a revamp of an apple cookbook she published in 1976 when her family owned an apple orchard in Oak Glen, California. "The Better Than Average Apple Cookbook," not only includes apple recipes but features full-color illustrations showing many of her apple-themed artworks. Recognition as an artist has come in the form of awards through art exhibits. Also, her artworks have been selected for prestigious permanent collections, such as the San Bernardino County Museum, Mt.
