Alberta Torres is an Italian illustrator now based in London, who started drawing as soon as she could hold a crayon. She studied motion graphics, illustration and design at schools in Italy and at Central Saint Martins and House of Illustration in London, and in 2013 she won the Battello A Vapore Prize for Best Emerging Illustrator. Her debut picture book, I Love You as Big as a Rainbow, was followed by her work on the "This Little..." board-book series and other titles for major publishers. Alberta's vibrant, textured artwork draws inspiration from everyday life, childhood wonder and the world around her. When she isn't crafting pictures in her East London studio, she loves sketching in parks, sipping a strong coffee and daydreaming about new characters.
