The Blackheart Pact (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798230898276)

For twenty-five years, private detective James "Jimmy" Rankard has been haunted by a past he can't fully remember. As a child, he and his sister Janet were abducted by a group of faceless figures. During a desperate escape, Jimmy fled, leaving Janet behind-never to be seen again. Now, he spends his days chasing the shadows of the missing, seeking justice for others even as his own past remains an unsolved mystery.

When Shaniah Reeds, a terrified mother, begs for his help finding her two missing children, Jimmy can't ignore the case-especially when the details mirror his own past. His investigation leads him to the ruins of an old lodge deep in the countryside, where whispers of the Blackheart family-a powerful, secretive lineage-have lingered for generations. As eerie visions and cryptic clues draw him closer to the truth, he realizes that something unseen is guiding his search... and watching his every move.

With time running out and his own past clawing to the surface, Jimmy must fight not only for Shaniah and her children but for his own soul. Aided by his former partner and his former mentor, Jimmy must put the clues together, and solve the mystery before it's too late. For himself, and the missing. And in the final battle against the Blackhearts, a familiar ghost of the past may be the only thing standing between Jimmy and the darkness that has hunted him his entire life.

A gripping supernatural detective thriller, The Blackheart Pact is a story of guilt, redemption, and the ghosts-both real and imagined-that never truly let us go.
