David is probably the greatest example from the Old Testament of a true servant of God. Moses was great, but David's humility sets him apart and above. David was God-centered; that's the way he lived, thought, acted (mostly), sang. Today, with the occupation in our hearts by Holy Spirit, we too can be God-centered. Morning, noon and night, we can say like David: ""Lift up the Light of Your Countenance upon us, O LORD! You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and new wine abound. Because the people knew they would be hearing the Voice of God through his songs.
