Michael Davies began writing as an antidote to the hundreds of hours spent on long-haul flights around the world and evenings in hotels with no television of value. Eventually, he published more than twenty-five books and also became a publisher for other writers. As with almost everything else where he became expert in something, he became a teacher of the subject, whether it was rowing, languages, sailplane flying and then writing and he now is a successful teacher of the mechanics of writing a full-length novel.
