Pierce Forde grew up in Galway, Ireland and moved to New York City in 1989 joining the diaspora of the era. After studying at Cornell University, he became immersed in writing, documenting and describing the travels and travails of his life. He is a died-in-the-wool motorcyclist and travels the globe on two wheels as frequently as time permits. Pierce has several other manuscripts awaiting publication, including a follow-on to this work - "After the Call: Meditations from the Road" - a solo motorcycling journey, and a reprise of Brendan's life.
