In a story that could be ripped from the headlines, a small group of outcasts discovers the penicillin of cancer. Despite the breakthrough having world-changing repercussions, there are those in power who want to bury it before it ever sees the light of day.
Anton Thresher is used to going against societal norms. He even enrolls in a small Maine college instead of following his family legacy at the prestigious Harvard Medical School.
When the prodigal son, who knows genius comes in all forms, connects with Lisa, a lonely waitress at a local caf , the two form an unconventional working relationship. With the help of his skirt-chasing roommate, Todd Freeze, and an arrogant senior resident, DL, Anton discovers the miraculous therapeutic effects of a plant compound in cancer patients. Anton thinks this could be the first step in eradicating cancer but finds that he has trusted the wrong person. Now, the friends have to go on the run from an elite assassin and the sinister agents of a corporate conspiracy.
Dr. Stephen Petteruti channels his own experiences with the medical establishment into a bitterly realistic thriller about corporate avarice and moral failings.
Dr. Stephen Petteruti shares quite a few similarities with his protagonists. Petteruti has spent his career fighting medical dogma and administrative apathy. Petteruti and his wife, Shannon, run Intellectual Medicine 120, a clinic dedicated to advanced medicine and antiaging therapies.
Petteruti graduated from Tufts University with a degree in English literature. He worked as a quahogger before completing medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Petteruti then spent seven years as an army medical officer.
Petteruti enjoys his work almost as much as he enjoys spending time with his wife and seven children.

Most authentic book compilation on the Oregon Trail I ever read. The way the diaries are brought to life from over 170 years ago is a remarkable achievement. Top book of year so far for me for today June 01, 2024 review Candice
This author is a breathe of fresh air in a world of lies and coverups. He brings ancient writings and new science to bring light to mankind. In this amazing work, the well known plato stories from antiquity are now put alongside this new discovery of tablets from beginning of time. This is the most complete explanation of Atlantis every brought to the public. Shame on the governments of Egypt and the world for hiding WHO BUILT THE PHYRAMIDS OF GIZA AND THE SPHINX. Once I read this book I knew why they hid this knowledge. They don't want a population to know how great the world used to be compared to know.
Randomly stumbled upon this book and I am shocked that I haven’t heard about it before. It’s hands down the best story I’ve read in years. People need to read this book. It needs to be turned into a book. This story is just plain awsome. M
This soulful book of personal poetry brought me into the past and into the present---and into my heart.
Read the first book and this 2nd one did not disappoint! Loved every chapter. More please!
