Growing up in the once dirty and dusty streets of Kagiso, his days were characterised by mostly barefooted soccer, street fights and gambling after school. His parents' packed four roomed house, where he spent most of his youth years, was where he heard stories narrated by his beautiful and selfless unemployed mother just before bedtime under the kitchen table which was his sleeping place. As a boy, he constantly told stories to a few friends and later started writing them down and ultimately destroyed soon after reading them. He had not thought of penning down a thing, let alone a novel, until the birth of his son, Bokang, as he had to babysit and had time to kill. He became creative. Five years later, he has finally completed the much anticipated manuscript and decided to publish it which has not been an easy task. Born in June 1983, Ramoshibidu J Malope attended his studies in Bosele Primary and Mosupatsela Secondary schools and later attended his only year in college at Rosebank, Braamfontein; JHB, in 2002. He was then drafted into the SA Army the following year and is still serving to date in the Signal Corps. He is currently working on the sequel of The Case and a number of screen plays.
