Gerard Feeney is a retired professor of English and Humanities from Thames Valley State Technical College in Norwich, Connecticut. His career in education spans forty years of teaching writing and literature. He has published over a hundred poems in such literary periodicals as Ebbing Tide, Oatmeal and Poetry, The Mountain Troubadour and Pine Island Journal. His short stories have appeared in Show and Tell, Westward Quarterly and Tumcumcari Literary Review. He has been awarded first place prizes in poetry from the Connecticut Poetry Society and the Poetry Society of Vermont. His short story It Happened at Homecoming was an award winner in Writers Digest Fast Fiction Contest. Professor Feeney has organized and facilitated writing groups in Mystic, Chester and Deep River, Connecticut for twenty years.
