R. Brian Howe holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto. He is a professor emeritus and former director of the Children's Rights Centre at Cape Breton University. He has published six books and numerous articles on human rights policy, children's rights, and children's rights education. J.C. Blokhuis holds a JD from the University of Ottawa and a PhD in Educational Thought and Policy from the University of Rochester. He is an associate professor in the Department of Social Development Studies at Renison University College, University of Waterloo.
