Uli Schmetzer was a well-known foreign correspondent for Reuters News Agency in Latin America and for the Chicago Tribune in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Since he left journalism Schmetzer, an Australian of German descent, has written five books. 'Times of Terror' is a correspondent's critical autobiography of his profession.
