Shirie Leng is a former nurse and phyisician. She holds a Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Manhattan School of Music, a Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University School of Nursing, and an MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She did her internship in medicine at Brown University and trained as an anesthesiologist at Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
