Their behavior is motivated not only by the objective events but by their subjective perception and sometimes by unrealistic anticipations. Using a multifaceted psychological and sociological analysis the author reveals the overt and the hidden mechanisms of individual and group behavior in the migration drama. The Author: Edgar Krau is currently Professor in the departments of Psychology and Labor Studies at Tel-Aviv University, Israel. He earned his Ph.D. in 1964 at the University of Cluj (Roumania). Before his emigration to Israel in 1977 he taught at the University of Cluj and headed the department of psychological research of the Cluj Branch of the Roumanian Academy. His main research interest is social and vocational adjustment. In this area he has more than 60 publications in the USA and in several European countries. Edgar Krau is editor and primary author of the recent book Self-realization, Success and Adjustment.
