The author engaged in the research about the area of reservoir engineering, which is primarily focused on the method of reservoir engineering, reservoir numerical simulation, oilfield development program and optimization and petrleum economic. The characteristics and determining methods of reservoir orientation, the concept of vector well pattern and correspondingly reasonable methods of well pattern deployment was proposed first.
