Another of his recent books "So You Want To Be A Landlord....Tales From The Crypt" is a humorous look at buying and owning investment real estate, but with practical tips on "how to!" Murphy's screenplays have been recognized by a number of film festivals: Beverly Hills Film Festival made Amber Room Treasures an official "selection"; Charleston Film Festival in the top 25%; It won The Finalist Award in the Mountain Film Festival; and "You Can Call Me Jay" won The Finalist Selection in the Mexico based "Oaxacan Independent Film and Video Festival. Actress Betty White after reading the "Jay" screenplay said she "loved it"! A few other recent books include "Jeezsus: Call Me Jay" and "Abduction of The President", which have two completely different story lines. The first is a humorous look at two down on their luck "thirty something" guys that meet a delusional Jesus character who only speaks in biblical phrases. The second is a mystery/thriller about what happens when a rogue group of U.S. Military kidnap the President of the U.S. to thwart a sell out of America's defenses. Another book published this past year is entitled "Bunker Treasures: A Search For The Amber Room", and is also a mystery/thriller. The story is a contemporary look at the art world and it's connection to Hitler's thievery during World War II. The fictional account stays true to the dates and places of Hitler's theft of The Amber Room and the continuing search for its whereabouts. "Life, Love, Remembrances".....a book of poetry illustrated by the author's own original art work is also featured on Amazon books and BarnesandNoble.com To contact the author send an email to djvmurphy@gmail.com
