David Lemons as a youth worked in the oilfields of Texas with his father. He studied government and history at various universities and did his graduate work at Florida State University and the University of Chicago. David also volunteered for the U.S. Army followed by a tour in the Peace Corps. He then filled various roles as an educator and administrator in such entities as the U.S. Government, Bechtel Corporation, the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco), and most recently, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in Washington, D.C. His study and work took him to various cities in the U.S. and to countries such as Mexico, Iran, Greece, Zambia, Algeria and Saudi Arabia. David and his wife Patricia have two grown sons and live in Northern Virginia.
