The Devil's House: A Climate Collapse Survival Thriller (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798354814008)

In the forge of a burning America, battle lines are hardening. A New World Order of extremism and anarchy is threatening to rise.Zander Hollis is a man on the run... straight into the jaws of danger.

Wrongly imprisoned but freed in the chaos of a massive wildfire, now sought by federal authorities for a string of murders he didn't commit, Zander seeks out the Defenders, an extremist militia group seeking to bring the government to its knees. The same group Zander suspects of kidnapping his brother.

He's not fighting to save the country. He just wants to save his family. What he'll get is a chance to save himself.

Willa Sams is a fiercely independent teenager newly orphaned by the blaze. She's also guarding a troubling family secret, a connection to the Defenders that federal authorities wish to use.

Willa and Zander have absolutely nothing in common, and on any normal day they wouldn't have a damn thing to do with each other. But these aren't normal days. The wildfire spreading across Northern California has exploded in size and intensity. Infrastructure is collapsing. The two must work together if they're to have even the slimmest chance of surviving.

And of reuniting with the people they care most about.

The Devil's House is the third book in the visionary climate fiction (cli-fi) series SCORCHED EARTH, a near-future, survival "what-if" that's both mystery and hard-hitting suspense thriller. In this first 4-book series of the CLIMATE COLLAPSE disaster survival sequence, best-selling post-apocalyptic author Saul Tanpepper focuses a story with global significance on a small set of characters struggling to survive as an increasingly devastating weather pattern batters the American Pacific Northwest. This gripping, natural and manmade disaster survival thriller series is for fans of T.L. Payne, Kyla Stone, Ryan Schow, Grace Hamilton, Frank Horton, and A. American.
