It is remarkable that Hermes anticipated modern philosophy by insisting there is no void in nature, and that none of the works of The God can become extinct or perish, but, if disappearing, become some other essence or nature and renovated into another form. Thus, it appears he affirmed the future eternity of existing matter and deduced from this the immortality of the human body.
