The Dream Continues (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781453786857)

God inspired author to parallel His message to the King of Pop Eden Tedla parallels the music of Michael Jackson to passages of the Bible in "The Dream Continues" Charlotte, N.C. - In June of 2009, the world mourned the death of musical and global icon Michael Jackson. While he left behind 13 number one hits, author Eden Tedla digs deeper into Jackson's message in "The Dream Continues" (ISBN 1453786856). The book draws a correlation between the late pop star's chart-topping songs to the messages frequently found within the scriptures of the Bible. Tedla focuses on Jackson's humanitarian outreach and spotlights his efforts for the poor. She references songs like "Heal the World" and "Black or White" to possess a message of unity often overshadowed by the artist's controversial career. Jackson's songs are paired alongside scriptures from the Bible that she believes reflect Michael's message. "Michael Jackson was a singing prophet," Tedla said. "He was a true humanitarian and a messenger with great wisdom and encouragement for the people of the world." Tedla's book began as a Scripture of the Day collection that included reflections from Jackson. When the author's friends started relying on the words of God and Jackson, the collection became "The Dream Continues." The reader's religious beliefs need not apply; she feels the messages of hope and the empowerment to do something good will apply to all readers. According to Tedla, the book conveys many messages, not the least of which is that we can make a difference by doing the smallest things, something Michael Jackson proved to the world during his 50 years. "As a modern messenger, Michael Jackson did his part to heal the world. With God's grace, prayer and an open mind and heart we can do the same," Tedla added.
