Dr Betty Dlamini's ministry has a wide coverage, including being a teacher, singer, actress, playwright, poet and fiction writer. At the time of this book's publication she was a professor at Indiana University (Bloomington), USA. She has published over forty-four independent works which include short stories, plays, play-screen and a Siswati novel that won the Macmillan 2008 Grand prize. Dr Dlamini believes that each individual person has some excellence that is incomparable. She bases her philosophy on the fact that God has a part of Himself within each person which can flourish and be raised to the best level when that person reconnects with God and stays in constant alignment with God's will for their lives. She believes this glorious reality can get distorted if people try to be who and what God did not intend them to be. This distortion normally results from external pressures wielded by other people. She identifies herself with an eagle that enjoyed being an eagle for a short time when young, got lost and tried to live as a chicken whilst living among chickens, but finally broke free again and started soaring in the skies as eagles are meant to do! As a captive that has been set free she deems it her assignment to inspire other people not to lose their track and be the best they can be! Thus she named her ministry, Best Brand Ministries.
