Along the way, they encounter several strange situations when they try to interact with the humans and many problems once they finally settle down on the farm. There is both humor and pathos and all actually is going pretty well, until the local population reverts to its barbarous roots and strikes out at the Elders.This book also describes the birth of Enela, who will grow up to be the future savior of her people.
