The Fig Tree (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798235966871)

What happens when an old high school bully intrudes into your life with a proposal you can't refuse - literally?

And how does a cryptic note about a fig tree trigger a deadly chain of events?

Detective Billie McCoy is forced to confront a past she'd rather forget when Becky Nolan reappears with a chilling demand. Consumed by revenge, Nolan is determined to recreate an incident from their school years, one that left her humiliated and scarred . . . only this time she plans to control the outcome.

Soon after Nolan makes contact, Billie vanishes. Alarmed by her sudden disappearance, Billie's three closest friends join forces with her lifelong friend from school who knows Nolan's troubled past. As they follow a trail of clues tied to old memories and hidden locations, they realise Nolan's obsession runs far deeper than anyone imagined.

Time is running out.

Caught in Nolan's twisted plan, Billie discovers just how ruthless her former tormentor has become. For Nolan, revenge isn't enough. She is willing to break every law and cross every moral line to reclaim the power she believes Billie stole from her all those years ago . . . and this time, someone may not survive.
