She is the wife of retired USAF Charles Smith and the mother of two children, Claudette and Charles Jr. Claudette was the inspiration behind this book. She passed away ten years ago, leaving behind two children, Rosa and Auston. Charles Jr. is married to Apyrl; they currently live in Cummins, GA. Additionally, some words of wisdom from Smith's mother, Ordell Walker, are included in this book.
