About the Author The Author, Shaundra L. Walker, is a 47 year old mother of three. She has 35 years of experience in diet and nutrition. Shaundra went on her first of many diets at the age of 12, including gastric bypass surgery at the age of 37. It still took her 4 years to get her weight under control. She used the concept of The Food Faucet. Then at the age of 44 she got sick and dropped to 113 pounds. That was when she discovered that the same process she used to lose weight worked in reverse to gain weight. Subsequently, she was able to use the concept to maintain her weight for the years since. Shaundra put the concept into words and called it The Food Faucet, due to the working analogy of hot and cold running water that worked in unison with the flow of proteins and carbs. She shared The Food Faucet with family and friends that had struggled with similar weight issues. They too were able to successfully use The Food Faucet to lose, gain and maintain weight just as she had. As a result, she felt, she had to share it with the world, with the strong, proven belief that The Food Faucet could help anybody that suffered from weight issues, including obesity, anorexia or bulimia.
