A veteran of the United States Air Force, Gary has a background in motion picture production with the U.S. government. He is the only television broadcaster to have anchored the evening news from every TV network affiliate in Eastern North Carolina as well as an independent cable outlet. For several years following his retirement, Gary co-hosted a Christian faith-based TV and radio program with Bob Lowery. He currently hosts a weekend live call-in radio program on "The Talk Station" in Morehead City, NC.
