The Girl I Once Was and Other Poems contains rhyming compositions that explore the beauty and wonder found in God's creation, the presence of Jesus and his guidance in times of difficulty, the author's experiences with extraordinary people, and a very personal journey of faith that involves living with major depressive disorder for more than three decades. A paragraph reflecting on the topic and source of inspiration precedes each poem. With unpretentious authenticity, these uplifting words provide moments of peace and rest from the stress and discouragement so prevalent in today's chaotic world.
