This story is about a little girl who doesn't fit in and is not understood by her family, and so, being lonely, she makes friends with a cloud who teaches her about the middle way, the point between the opposites where everything comes together and is the same thing, where everything comes from and goes to. She learned that at those times when she felt lost, the middle would find her if she would just get quiet and wait. And at those times, it was dark only because she had her eyes closed and the darkness was something she made behind her eyes.
