What price would you pay to save your true love from pain?

Armand and Beckett have the worst assignment known to a harbinger-preparing children for their death. The job is gut-wrenching with an emotional toll that Armand refuses to share with Beckett. Armand is determined to seek an intercession from any otherworldly being willing to sympathize with their plight.

Beck can sense the toll their current assignment is taking on his lover, and he wants to find a way to ease his pain. Enter Nyx, the Goddess of Darkness. Will she have pity on the harbingers and offer her assistance to make their existence easier?

As every supernatural being knows, deals made in the afterlife are tricky. What price will the harbingers have to pay to get Azrael, the Angel of Death, to reassign them?
