The Hollywood Murder Mystery
is a novel by Herbert Crooker, first published in 1930. It features detective Clay Brooke investigating the death of a rising starlet at a film studio during the era between the introduction of "talking" pictures and the end of Prohibition. Crooker also wrote The Crime in Washington Mews (1931), which features Clay Brooke.
