Born in Santa Monica, California, Robert Benefiel has lived in several places throughout the United States. He has worked many jobs from fishing dock operator to optician. His first love has always been art and writing, which he was introduced to through comic books and cartoons. By 12 he had developed a taste for Elliot, Cummings, Shakespeare & Dickenson only to later read contemporary authors while at the same time developing a love for music.
