It is the very toll of love, hurt, and hope that makes us aware of just how vulnerable we can be sometimes but, it leaves us the gift of strength and character. Tomas J. Colon was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He faced many struggles while growing up in a single parent home. Tomas grew up rather quickly and took on the role of being a provider very early in his life realizing that in order for he, his little brother, and his mother to have a fighting chance in a rapidly changing society. Tomas enrolled in the military where he served honorably for over 10 years. He is a dedicated husband, a father of four, and also a full time student seeking a Bachelor of Arts as a Sociology major at Eastern Connecticut State University.
