Detective Lorengo entered Captain Montgomery's office and was introduced to the two Detectives from Montana. One of them handed over some photos taken of a crime scene they had been working on, for a very long time. Lorengo was not at all prepared for the grotesque way in which the killer left the bodies. The other detective explained the steps that the killer took on the murders. Lorengo quickly excused himself and ran to the men's bathroom to vomit. He took a minute to splash water on his face and collect himself. He noticed how bad he was shaking. As he walked back through the door, all three of the men looked at him as if they had never seen anyone react that way. Detective Lorengo apologized then quickly offered; "I have seen plenty of nasty photos of crime scenes through the years, but this one gentleman, takes the cake." Captain Montgomery informed him that the State of Montana had requested his assistance in capturing the killer. Lorengo agreed to go. He went home to pack and drove to Billings that very same night. Little did he know that he would discover there was a connection between Montana's murders and one of the cases he was working on in Seattle. After returning from Montana, one of the few women that Detective Lorengo had ever loved became a victim of a serial killer. He blamed himself for not protecting her. After a twist of events, he discovered her killer was someone he knew and had trusted. The Detective had the gift of premonitions, using it for hunting down perpetrators.
