She is determined to marry Sridhar, and assures her dad that she can face any challenge, and marries him. He goes to London to continue his research, and weds Julia there, when Hyma agrees to divorce him on mutual consent. Then she is determined to win him by filling her mind with the unfading. Avadhani initiates her into the mantra, Om Sivayanamaha. She tries to empower her mind. Sridhar come back to Visakha with Julia. Will Hyma succeed in winning back her husband? Rekha marries Gopi Krushna, a philandere in Visakha. He is murdered. Will Mahesh get success in marrying his love?The novel veers round three women-Hyma, beauty, Rekha, intellect and Julia, matter. They make the novel an allegory. Gopi Krushna is a warning to philanders. There is a message in the novel that true love triumphs. The third strand in it is on the occult and the divination.
