This handbook is your gateway into the profound cosmology of Ifa and Orisha practices--an ancient African Traditional Religion (ATR).
Created for the inquisitive beginner, the dedicated devotee, and even the seasoned practitioner seeking a fresh and clear perspective, this accessible book demystifies the sacred wisdom of Ifa while upholding the integrity of its profound spiritual power. Iyanifa (Priestess) A. Ifayomi Stanton draws from her 25-year spiritual journey, guided by her ancestors through African dance, to teach you about Ifa's deities, ancestral reverence, and divination.
More than a basic guide to Orisha practice, this empowering book is the bridge from where you are now to understanding and implementing the spiritual work that is necessary to align with your destiny. Explore a wide variety of subjects, including:
- Ori (your spiritual head)
- Odu (Ifa's vast literary corpus of divination verses)
- The role of Olodumare (God)
- Egungun (ancestor) reverence
- Egbe (society/group)
- Ile (spiritual house)
- The Seven African Powers and other Orishas
- Godparents
- Initiation and priesthood
Welcome. Hear the whispers of your ancestors saying, "You've arrived home."

Babalawo M. Odushola Osanyin Bonner, aka Baba Shola, established Egbe Ifa Iwarere (Ifa's Society of Good Character) Temple in Las Vegas. He has conducted many ceremonies and thousands of Ifa divinations.
