The impact of Adult Online Grooming (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798257231933)

I wrote this book, because I was not able to put an impact statement in and this was driving me insane. I couldn't understand why I had reported online abuse but was constantly being blamed and criminalised due to false allegations made by my abusers. Too often, they were able to manipulate call handlers, have investigations against me opened, have me arrested and trigger a decline in my mental health. No matter how often I begged to be able to put an impact statement in, even if enquiries weren't followed up, just to acknowledge the abuse I experienced.

But I was listened to, without a statement ever being taken, again and again. So here is my impact statement. I have provided research to explain how adults can be groomed and then I have reflected on how each 'impact' has affected myself. I hope that 'back-stage' this book can assist with understanding, training and prosecution of my abusers. But only time will tell.
